Sultan Kudarat Declares November 21, 2025 as Special Non-Working Holiday Ahead of Kalimudan Festival

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — Governor Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu has signed Executive Order No. 86, officially declaring Friday, November 21, 2025, as a special non-working holiday throughout the Province of Sultan Kudarat.

The declaration aims to allow residents to fully participate in the culminating events of the Kalimudan Festival, the province’s annual week-long celebration honoring its rich cultural heritage, unity, and diversity. The festival traditionally ends on November 22, which is already a special non-working holiday under Republic Act No. 11126 in commemoration of the founding anniversary of Sultan Kudarat.

However, for 2025, November 22 falls on a Saturday, a day when most government offices and private institutions are already closed. To maximize participation and ensure the meaningful commemoration of the province’s founding anniversary, the Governor moved the observance to the preceding Friday.
